Finds: Over the rainbow.

The cuff links look like 22k In your picture. They are so yellow

Thank you.

Totally agree with you. I was not aware that we had 15K here in England.

"15 carat. It was actually discontinued in England as a gold standard in 1932 with Commonwealth member countries soon following. It is usually marked 15ct but sometimes 625 which outlines the gold content percentage of 62.5% gold.

So prior to 1932 this was a British Commonwealth standard for a high carat, strongly yellow and reasonably hard gold that was used in pieces that had a lot of wear like bracelets, chains, but where high quality gold was still required."

"An Imperial Tealby Penny of Henry II?

In 1158 a monetary reform was introduced in England which was of sufficient importance for the contemporary chroniclers to record that 'a new money was made, which was the sole currency of the kingdom.'

This coinage is notorious for its ugly appearance, bad craftsmanship and careless execution.

It continued till 1180, and is named after a large hoard which was found at Tealby, Lincolnshire, in 1807."

The whistle reminds me of a boatswains whistle. Clean it up real good and see if it makes any sound.

Dog whistle, high pitched sound.

Found where dog walkers walk their dogs at the side of small stream running on the edge of the field.
