Hello everyone. I just bought a beginner machine, a Tenektics Delta 4000. I broke it in this weekend at a local park and found a bunch of clad. The most exciting thing I found was a shot gun brass casing dating between 1896 to 1904, in my back yard. If anyone is near me and wants to go out let me know. I live a short ride from my house by quad to Virginia City and am planning on searching the Old Orphir Trail, that used ox wagons to bring ore from Virginia City to the valley to be processed.

Welcome! Weird! I dug 8 of those today from the same era! Yours is better looking than any of mine. The ones i found were all smashed and chipped. Good hunting!

Welcome from SC, by the way, I lived on Seneca Dr. in Stead, NV in 1979. We ran across an old mine entrance heading up the ravine. There is also a stream and pond that I know someone dredged around 1 million in gold out of. the stream would still be good for panning.
