Circulated star notes and even circulated silver certificates have little if any value above face. Crisp "radar" notes are collectible if you can find them. A radar note is one whose serial number reads the same backwards as it does forwards.
Not sure about gold certificates but they are far more scarce than silver certificates so I'd definitely hold onto any you have. If a silver certificate is in CRISP uncirculated condition then it definitely has value above face.I'm surprised to know that silver certificates have little to no value above face. How about gold certificates? Same boat?
