Do you need a search permit in Florida?

Hello, everybody,
My name is Alex and I come from Germany, so please don't be surprised if my English is so bad.

I have a question, I would like to go on vacation in Florida in May and take my metal detector with me, do you need a permit in USA Floriada to search with metal detector?
Can I look anywhere with it? At the booth? (of course not on Priovat terrain, that is clear to me)

Many thanks and greetings
Alex

If your searching on a public beach you need no permit. Stay away from from parks unless you have permission and you should be golden.

I just plan on using my metal detector on the beach and snorkeling.
We're going on vacation on the west coast of Florida.
