Silver and diamonds
 

Always thought they don't set diamonds in silver.
Saw Valentine's day add, all size diamonds set in silver earrings
So I guess rule is they don't set diamonds in silver except earrings ?

Its rare, but they do sometimes. Never hurts to have suspected diamonds checked by a professional. I once found a white gold pendant that had a small silver triangle in the middle, followed by a small diamond set in the silver. It was small, but it was a real diamond.

I have an antique tie clasp that has the same setting in the center.
