XP Deus 2 depth issues after new software download

I have the current software and have noticed a significant drop in depth. I have tried all programs and still only hitting a quarter at about 7 inches during air test. I’ve also tried in field and very faint signal, xy screen is showing small line which would indicate deeper target. All targets found have been only roughly 6 inches at the most.

I’ve had no issues with the other software versions, not sure what I did wrong.

Any help would be appreciated
 
I tried reinstalling the update and there was no difference in performance. I tried to erase it again and now it’s stuck on the update screen and my computer keeps coming up with an error.

I’m trying to remember, previous updates you had to pair the pinpointer after the update, is that correct? This update my pinpointer never lost pairing with the unit.
 
Update, I logged out and logged back into XP site and screen is now unlocked. But, still no depth… I have no idea what to do next. I will contact my dealer tomorrow and see if they have any suggestions
 
Still no improvement. I’ve tried two different computers and IP addresses and have loaded and unloaded different programs and tested each one. I’ve tried with the WS6 as well with the same results. I am now going to drain the battery in coil, unit, WS6 and pinpointer and recharge and try again.

I called High Plains Prospectors since the company I bought it from is not responding. They have been extremely helpful and they are sending me a form to fill out for a possible return to XP.

So you even loaded older firmware and never got performance you had witnessed in the past?
Did you try unpairing and repairing coil(s)?
And verify coil ser # in remote and WS6.
 
Yes, no matter what version is downloaded no changes to performance.

The updater will also flash error USB connection sometimes( all three computers ) The only issue is it will say it downloaded the version I was downloading even though it only showed it erasing and never got to the programming part of the download. It will also freeze the unit and will not allow me to turn off the unit.

After a few more tries it will activate go through the erasing process and programming part and say it was successful.

I’m thinking maybe my charging/updating cord is faulty.

My computer does that do. Just press on with pride. Mine works, I have updated and downgraded remote and Ws6 loads like 100 plus times. I BS. Had to go test for Xp. And some of my own curiosity.

I love the machine and have found a lot of awesome items with it…. This is not the same machine

Possible even had a freak event of the coil also going bad. I know when I updated mine the clock never worked again. Some people joke about the clock issues. But I actually use mine at the beach. We have to keep track of the tide during the hunt. And I don't want to wear a watch since I find them all the time lost. Lol!
 
Yes on the cover, cleaned everything tried without cover and back on. Multiple load and unloading of programs. Ran only the WS6 as solo unit and just the main detector and ran both together. Tried logging in and out of xp site, tried 3 different computers at different locations.
Unlinked all units and relinked multiple times.
