WM09 Coming for Manticore, Equinox 700/900!

Found this in another forum but it looks like we will finally get another headphone / earbud option shortly for our Manticores, Equinox 700/900... after we purchase a new WM09 of course... but then we should be able to use the headphones or earbuds of our choosing!

The lack of this option was the main thing preventing me from giving the Manticore a go. They should really offer it to existing customers at a discount, and package it with future machines.

Basically there is a wireless connection between the metal detector control box and the WM09. You clip the WM09 onto your clothes somewhere and then plug wired earbuds or headphones into the WM09 so effectively you are wireless (no physical connection) between the metal detector and the headphones / earbuds of your choosing. For those that really dislike using headphones in the warmer summer months this is a good alternative option to stay wireless and allow you use your favorite earbuds. The Equinox 800 came with one (WM08) in the box and some people absolutely love it... personally I've never used my WM08 but I don't have a problem using the stock wireless headphones year round, or having my waterproof headphones plugged directly into the detector.... but it's all about options and I'm a fan of that! :-)

Don't forget it also was supposed to be faster ( lower latency ) than using the Bluetooth headphones.

It is faster.

This module WM09. It may use only Bluetooth. Unlike the module for Equinox 600/800. Remember the first gen EQXs one could select blue tooth or wi stream.
