My brother and I were both using a Garrett AT Max approximately 30 feet apart along the banks of a small river in the Black Hills. We were both using the wireless headphones. At the same time both of our detectors started making a weird, pulsing tone. Hard to describe but it sounded like they were cycling up and down in a wave form if that makes sense. We moved from that area and it stopped. Iāve experienced this one time before in the Black Hills when I was by myself so I thought nothing of it but with both detectors doing? Any ideas on what this might be? There were no power lines around, no aircraft around and not where you would expect underground electrical lines.
