Ok, I know this is a minor thing but it bugs me. When I have to pinpoint I have to move one headphone side off my ear to hear the pinpointer when exploring the hole and dirt pile.

Yes I said it is minor. I have heard some guys talking about some model detector that the pinpointer audio was built into the headphones or detector. Not sure which. But anyway not going to buy that type of detector since I am happy with my CTX.

But I was looking and could not find a very small blue tooth microphone that could be taped around the upper part of my pinpointer and have it connected to my Trond wireless earphones. I am not using the wireless part of my Trond headset since I connect it directly to my WM10 with a short coiled 1/8" cord.

Could not find one that would seem to work on Amazon. Most were too big.

Any Santa helpers out there that would know of a wireless blue tooth microphone?

When I was using the rgular Garrett pinpointer, i'd occasionally have trouble hearing the pinpointer. Now, with the AT Z-lynk "carrot" I hear all signals loud and clear.

Moving my headphones to the side to hear the pinpointer drives me nuts, probably the biggest disappointment I have in this hobbie.

It is funny how the little things other than the detector can bug you. For years I used a short 30" leche and to dig properly had to lose the detector. But even then they dug short plugs.

Finally caw Calabash in his videos using a shovel that was waist high.

Found one that was 37" but too big of a shovel blade. Found a smaller one with a 5" x 6" tempered steel blade. Switched handles now have the perfect digger for me. Can dig a nice plug with one hand. Makes life easier.

I use a old green military trenching shovel that's just the right height and the pick part slips into my back pocket. I can dig a target and find it without going to my knees. I have a pinpointer...but never use it.
Mind you, this is in the field. In a park I have to be more surgical in the recovery. I would get dirty looks digging a huge hole for a pulltab...lol
