I found these 2 items near (withing 50 yds) of an old house and barn cellar holes. House was build early 1800s and abandoned circa 1900 . Not sure what these items are? any ideas? Farm tools of some sorts? I'm curious what was going on at this homestead and these may shed a clue for me. I have found hundreds of 1880's-1890's shotgun shells near this cellar hole, maybe indicating it was a slaughter house? These items were found just outside that zone. Thanks!

They do look like pieces off a farm implement, but I couldn't see what kind. As for the hundreds of shotgun shells, that is unlikely to indicate a slaughterhouse. Perhaps a farmer that was fond of shooting birds or something similar.
