I came across this about a mile up stream from where I went in trout fishing. I was standing on the other one. Where should I start on something like this?

I would start with the approaches to where the bridge was. I would also do some water hunting there as well. Like coins in a fountain, people toss coins in the water for luck. GL&HH.

That area looks so relaxing and inviting, I would plan on multiple visits, and slow walk the ground over and over again. I love places like that. Hours slip by walking them.

Well judging by the bench in the background, the area is still in use. Obvious areas have likely been hunted, but definitely still worth a shot. I'd check in the stream too if possible. I think I read somewhere that on average you lose a ring size or two when in the water, hence why so many rings are found IN the water. Basically all the ground in that picture could use a scanning

About a quarter mile behind me is a farm site I dated back to 1859. I have found "bean Pot" lids semi buried in the cellar hole. I pulled this iron out ten feet from cellar hole. I don't think this area has been hit yet.
