Hi everyone, newish detectorist here, first post on this forum. I live in Ashburnham, MA and started detecting last summer. I got the bug and have continued through the winter, hitting woods and cellar holes when the fields and parks are too frozen. My own back yard has been great (some silvers, a crotal bell, a gold ring, etc.)
My best find last year was a 1786 New Jersey copper. This year I'm hoping for more colonial coppers and my first Spanish silver. I'm running a Garrett AT Pro, which is great, but after 100+ hours on it I'm thinking of upgrading.
I've done most of my detecting solo or with my young kids--I have a second AT Pro I taught them to use. Once in a while it would be nice to go with another adult, especially to explore new spots. I don't mind hiking miles through the woods, and I'm willing to travel in MA and NH. I'm also happy to hit more local spots for a couple hours at a time, as work and family obligations allow. Let me know if you're in the area and interested!
