These 10 64 Kens were awaiting KT's return from lunch in the village when His Majesty arrived at back at the Castle! 5 were rather scruffy looking from their travels so KT sent them to the Royal Bathes immediately and the rest joined them some few minutes later, since they also wished to freshen up.
We all then met in the Banquet Hall, where they were served hot tea and a variety of cookies by His Majesty's Kitchen Staff. Thus refreshed, they took turns telling KT about their travels, backgrounds and so forth. These Kens had known each other from grade school, and all grew up in the same community, where they worked in various jobs, raised their families, and even attended the same Church! Some were bachelors, and others family men, but they all got the urge to travel and had spent a couple of years on the roads in the USA before hearing about the Royal Kingdom. They are a bit tired of all the traveling around, so are ready to settle down, if they like the area. Essentially all are financially independent, having worked many years and saved diligently towards retirement. Not rich but still financially in good shape. They also stated that they would like to stay together, so KT asked if He built a house for them in the local community, if they would like that. And they replied that they would love it and would be happy to pay rent to His Majesty until it was paid off. KT said that would be agreeable, so He signed over to them a land grant of 5 acres, for them to have a house built by the Royal Carpenters. Until them, there was space in the Royal Castle for them to live. They went to inspect their Castle living quarters, and to work with the Master Carpenter for a house plan that they would be happy with. KT is looking forward to seeing the plans that they and the Master Carpenter come up with for their house! Some of them are cooks so KT does not have to search for any laborers for them, they will sub-divide the house and property work between the remaining Kens!
