Moving from the Vanquish 440 to a NOX, but which?

I have had the Vanquish 440 for a few years now and have found a lot but I want to upgrade to the NOX 800. My main question is should I go to the NOX 800 or move to Minelab’s NOX 900? I have a buddy with an old mine shaft on it from the 1830’s and want to do some gold detecting but not sure what I should do? Let me know your thoughts!

For gold prospecting, there is very little difference between the 800 and 900 as far as actual detecting characteristics using their gold modes. They are both outstanding for that. The big difference is the upgraded collapsible stock shaft on 900 and its redesigned control pod and handgrip angle which many complain about and replace after buying the 800. For gold prospecting, the 6” coil is a must have.

For water hunting….. get the 900.

The expanded target ID range on the 900 drove me nuts.
