Sent my AT Pro in because the place where you install the batteries was a little cracked. I plan on doing water hunting this summer and I sure don't need any seepage. They ask me to send in a coil with it and I do. But I tell them its broke but send it back with the detector. So they call and she gives me a quote of over $200 and I'm like what did they do? She said the case and something with the board AND then says a new coil. I'm like no I don't want a new coil just send the old one back. So she says total is $107.00. So I get it back today and I open the box and start pulling out the detector and coil and don't you know they send me a new one anyway plus the coil guard. Plus a new battery holder (I actually needed one). I was floored to say the least. Maybe it was already packed when she called?? I don't know but that was pretty exciting. I now have 2 "good" coils and 2 repaired coils. So I'm hoping I'll be set for a very long time!!!
Happy hunting everyone, I hope to be out there very soon!!

The two times I've needed support from Garrett their customer service was well above and beyond my expectations. Glad to see they treated you well too.

Yep Garrett has some great customer service

I purchased a Axiom a few months ago and called to ask some questions that I had, was talking to Rusty there out of the blue, I happen to ask Rusty if they sold Coil Bolts and the rubber washers for the Axiom, Rusty says yes, and stated I do not think you will like the price for those three little parts so I ask him how much, he states they are around $34, laughing I asked if they were made out of gold or what, rusty then ask me for my address which I gave him not thinking anything about those three little parts any longer with the cost being what he stated, next thing I know a few days later is I get a package in the mail from Garrett which contained those three little parts with a thank you from Garrett for being a loyal customer, can not ask for any better customer service than that and yes those three little parts to attach the coil of the Axiom to the lower shaft is somewhere around $34 which I thought was a little bit expensive for 1 nylon bolt and two rubber washer, I did not really need the parts but I like having spare coil bolts and washers if I need them, so now thanks to Garrett's great customer service I now have a spare coil bolt and two spare rubber washers for just in case scenarios.

I have the ones they sent me for the Axiom locked up in my safe, LOL

I could not even believe the price they are selling those three little parts for which is a nylon coil bolt and two rubber washers that go on each side of the lower shaft between the coil mounts, I about choked when Rusty told me what the cost of those was for the Axiom, I do not think the ones for the ATP are that much and I know the ones for the Legend are only like $5-$7 for a set which also includes a coil bolt nut

Thats the one thing about Garrett that I do not understand most manufacturers include the coil bolts and rubber washers with each coil the Axiom comes with two coils but they only supplied one set of the coil mounting hardware, same thing I purchased two extra coils directly from Garrett for the Axiom and neither of those extra coils came with the mounting hardware, but at least they sent me one extra set of mounting hardware which I do appreciate it

Garret is a company with a conscience! They would rather not send you your broken coil back knowing it is broken. I've had many such experiences with them. Garret is a company that will make good no matter what. Truly a business practice that has gone by the wayside. Dealing with them is like turning the clock back to when people actually cared. Glad you got all sorted out! 👍

I had a good experience with customer service. I ordered the MS2 headphones thinking they would work on my Nautilus 2b. Not so. I got in touch with them about it and was told they wouldn't work. So they looked around in the old stock and found some headphones that would do the trick. They sent them to me, free of charge. I offered to send the other back but she said keep them. Can't get no better than that!

I dropped my Apex into a foot of saltwater and fried it. I sent it in to Garrett in the hopes that they could replace the motherboard in it for less than it would cost me to buy a new one. They just replaced it for free. Yes, it was within warrantee, but they would have been totally within their rights to have said "tough doodoo", as it was my fault that it fried, not theirs. Because of that service, they have in me a customer for life.
