Well.......I grabbed my old Minelab Ace250 ,as they're calling it now, and went out to a few spots I had high hopes for. After striking out on the couple door knocks I was hoping for, I resorted to hitting an old foundation site in state game forest and came up empty as usual for those spots anymore......I ended up at one more old foundation and got into some thick brush that I was hoping was inaccessible most of the year and managed a large cent. Those always sound just like a quarter so I recorded the dig but probably wont do anything with it. I got back in my van and saw a tick on me and threw him out then got out and shook myself off vigorously and decided I'm done with woods for the day. I've already gotten a brutal rash from poison ivy I've been trying to get rid of for several weeks and thought I better go find an easier spot for the rest of the day.
Theres a bulldozed old homesite that I have hit numerous times in the past and have gotten Mercs and a largie there years ago.
I remember the side yard used to have some really long overgrowth and it was all down for the winter, so I got back in there and got a super shallow 12-45 . I put the ProPointer to the ground and it went off , and I tore a pinch of the grass off and saw a dime that I could not ID :?::?:...I was kind of excited about it but it was clearly involved in a fire of some sort so I carried on.
A bit later I got another beaty of a 12-45 at 6-7 , and out pops another Merc !!! I got over by the sidewalk and saw a neon orange series of paint lines .....not really sure if that was the intended spot for pipes or if it was recently placed or what ....but in the next half hour I snagged several more keepers right along the sidewalk edge.....
I was starting to feel the yard running dry again, and it was starting to get dark so I settled on a 8 inch deep penny signal for my parting coin. it was a smidge smaller than a quarter , but green......anyway......

Still can't believe I'd hit this yard before.....:roll::?::?:....

Though most are modern, im at 17 silvers now. :cool3::cool3:

Glad your day ended on a good spot with some goodies. Those darn ticks are annoying. Congrats on the silvers and the 2 center.
