Detector cons

I feel this machines potential will only be realized by a handful who have the time to interact with it daily, and truly sync with the machine
In reality that statement applies to all detectors. I my opinion, once you learn what your machine is trying to tell you audibly, that will be the time your good finds will start going up.

My only gripe is on me, and interpreting the tones. truly an incredible machine. I feel this machines potential will only be realized by a handful who have the time to interact with it daily, and truly sync with the machine

In my opinion. The D2 is a lousy tone machine. It is a GREAT numbers machine. One needs to trust the number the machine is throwing.

I will say it again ~ if you run a full tones on any machine vs 2, or 3 tones etc You hit on everything! Numbers only give you a number What it does not give you is everything between that number and the next number hi or lo. It simply only gives you a limited number of "points" vs full spectrum of audio ZERO COMPARISON!!! Now I get it,.. if you dont have a lot of time to invest .. then numbers can be very important... however if you do have the time to train your ears you will maximize the abilities of the machine you are swinging.. Swinging the Deus 2, I have had many instances of great tone vs XY screen telling me it is garbage... I never pay attention to that. Tone trumps numbers every time!

#s are the tone you hear . Like listening to a football game without seeing it more imfo watching and listening compared to just listening .As to high and low and low and high the #s show it watch it next time on a target . sube

Numbers are not the tones you hear, they are only points on the graph, while tones are entire spectrum. example #1 to #2 are ony two points that register on the visual display, what about everything between? There are an infinite amount of "points" between example 1.555555555........ these are the tones....

A detector is a tool. It’s only as good a the person using it. You can own a race car but it’s not much good if you can’t drive. I started with a f75 no complaints now I swing the 900 love it. My complaint is I don’t have much time.

I don't know how to thumbs down this? Absurd to think about scale numbers between 1 and 2.

IF..................IF your first tone is set between 1 and 5..........YOU BET the tone will be there!!!

What the heck you talking about Willis ? IDC about graphs. Ru an engineer ? So what you're saying for all practical purposes is you want to hear tones 1.2 , 1.3 , 1.444...and so on ? Not gonna happen in the real world of metal detecting. But I'm sure Styrofoam boy will prove me otherwise. 🤣
