I detected an old colonial farm site that dates to the mid 1700's. I did quite well. I found 2 Connecticut coppers one of which has a pretty good obverse and the other is beat. The one I took a close up of was poorly struck and the strike is off center. It may also be a counterfeit coin from 1788 but I have to do some more research to confirm this. I liked the oval flat button so I took a close up of it as well. I also found a gold band which was quite suprising. Its stamped on the inside "Solid Gold". There is a small file mark on the inside of the band that looks like someone checked to see if it is really solid gold. I think the ring is from the early 1900's.

Thanks for looking

Outstanding Billy. I'm waiting for a friend of mine to take me to a colonial farm as well. Those are some great finds. Where's the bracelet?

Billy, realy cool finds, i like those coppers, where I live I most likely don't think I have much chance of finding any of those, but I can dream! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see your next finds.
See Ya Greg

Great looking finds Bill... Was ground still frozen or starting to thaw?

BTW, The misleading term solid gold merely signifies that a piece isn't hollow don't confuse solid gold with pure gold. :)

Awesome finds Bill! I would love to find a colonial era copper, regardless of condition, and gold is always great!! Excellent work!

Awesome Bill.....I also found a Conn. copper on the 5 th .Did you clean it with something? It's bright. I wish there were more of them to find here in Pa..........Blitz
