Hi bottle nuts
Have you ever found a bottle with a tree root growing around it? A detecting club member

gave me this one about five years ago. I never really looked at the embossing until today. I always assumed it was a milk of magnesia bottle. The only embossing I can see says “… & Mattison - Philadelphia” if it weren’t embedded in the tree root, it would say “Keasby & Mattison - Philadelphia” Kinda cool.

Now THAT is awesome. That's something that definitely needs to be on the wall. I've seen where a tree has grown around something before, usually fencing. But a blue bottle and not broken! Unreal. Well done on that one find in a million.

Great looking bottle on it's own, but the tree root kinda takes it up to the next branch. It's amazing how nature can wrap around something like that especially to be delicate enough not to break the bottle.

Very cool! The bottle is a KEASBY & MATTISON bottle from AMBLER, PA. It held effervescent salts aka an Alka Seltzer type product. Great find!

I regularly have to slice/cut roots growing over-under-around bottles when digging dumps and even checking in big tree roots sticking up in the air in fallen trees but can't remember any roots smothering a bottle like this one. Pretty darn neat cornflower blue bottle there!
