Well I’m Detecting daily here in Florida for the next five months. I have an equinox 900 and looking for anybody who has beach settings so I can try something a little different. I’ve been lucky so far a lot of silver and gold plated jewelry.. would appreciate someone sharing beach settings for equinox 900.

I would just leave it on factory settings. Read some of Cive and others books.also get some pull tabs some gold and coins and see where they id at. You have 5 months to practice and by then you will probably forget about changing the factory settings to to fast.I have had the nox 800 for two summers and found several gold and silver rings silver bracelets some silver coins and haven't changed the factory settings yet.I read all of clives books and read every day on this and other forums.Good luck and enjoy your 5 months detecting. This is how I have done it and I only beach hunt.

In Florida you most likely can do Beach 1. However, if you have issues with water contact and cannot run at least 21 sensitivity, go to Beach 2.
I hunt with the Horseshoe mode on! This really helps the machine separate ferrous from non-ferrous. I also recover my targets in this mode. Good Luck

Thank you appreciate it

I really would appreciate some information from the hunters on the west coast of Florida. I have been coming down and mding from Marco Island to Siesta Key for 12 years prior to Covid. Met some real nice hunters. Dew Con for one. I would like to know if you have been plagued with the red tide and bacteria for the last 4 years? If it has occurred every year during that period I will choose a something on the east coast. Thank you for your input.
