Anybody know??

What these clips are from? I found them in a wooded area where I have found all manner of things from the 1800s to present day. They(found 2 of them) are some sort of spring clip that were attached to something that rotted away. I assume that they went together like I have them in one picture. The one part has TOWER'S on it, but that didn't help me in trying to figure out what they are from. Any help??

I'm going with a metal boot buckle. When I was a kid, my snow boots had metal buckles like that.

I had a pair of fishermans boots/sh** kickers that had clasps like that too

could have been for anything that needed a clasp though, so i have no idea where yours came from, did you research the name on them?
