There was a narration last night, by a Park Ranger. The bears at the falls are the biggest and most dominant in the area. They all have numerical names, and have favorite fishing spots. They figured out that fishing at the falls results in the most calories consumed for the least amount of energy expended. The smaller bears are relegated to chasing fish around at other spots. All of the bears know each other, and know which ones to steer clear of, or it could be five across the eyes. At the moment, the river is stuffed with Sockeyes. The tide must have come in, bringing in a fresh run of fish. I wish I was up there fishing.
