I was wondering if anyone made their own 2 piece travel handle that could fit in a carry on suit case ? I've seen some on the Internet for sale but the $145 price tag just for the handle is huge turn off. I only need to come up with a two piece handle....I already have the scoop part. Any help...

In case you were wondering... (metal detectors on airplanes)

I took my etrac on the flight I'm on right now. Packed the poles in my check-in, kept the unit and batteries with me. TSA came over and asked me what the heck was that thing but then immediately figured out it was a metal detector. Let me right through without any problem!

Taking my MD on a plane

Can anyone tell me if they have ever encountered any problems taking their metal detector on a plane? Are you allowed to do that? Will they make me check it in at baggage? I would be devastated if after waiting 20 years to finally get one the airport security confiscates it :crying:

Heading to the Caribbean, Getting the gear ready to travel.

Well I’m heading to the islands next week, so it was time to get the gear ready to travel. :D Last time I traveled with my detector, I put it in my carry on bag and wrapped/padded everything with clothes. This turned out to be a big pain because every time the bag went through the x ray...
