I'm fortunate that I have two grandsons that I feel have had the smarts to listen to me when I told them to pursue skilled trades instead of white collar office style careers. I'm not by any means degrading those who have successful admin type jobs, but it's a matter of logic. If it turns, rotates, or slides, it WILL break down at some point in time. That is when you call in the people who can get it back running. Skilled tradespeople. We are, and always be a necessary evil to industry. They hate to pay us until it breaks. I've been a skilled tradesman since 1968 and wouldn't trade it for anything.I preach and teach these young men that no one can ever take away your skills and ethics. Makes me feel good.
