The Coinstar Demon Strikes Silver Again

On my way out of a Walmart today, I checked their Coinstar machine and in the tray was 62 cents in spendable coins, an English 1 penny coin, a Cuban 25 cent coin, and......drum roll please...............a 1944 Mercury dime.

The Coinstar Demon did it again , back 2 back ? Looks like the locals are loading them up for you as a Xmas present ! Strike while the iron's hot my friend....

Good job at Wally mart, I can count one hand how many times I've visited this fine establishment. There aren't many in the Detroit area.

I hope the locals keep leaving me some silver surprises. They must be cashing everything they can scrounge up for Christmas shopping.

I would think every employee would be checking thoes coin star machines every time they went by it.

Thanks......most of the time they ARE empty but this month has been above average for finds.

I really thought that this year was going to be my first year in 41 of not digging a silver coin. I did get a silver Roosevelt in early December to save the streak. Prior to that the last time I dug a silver coin was in March 2022.......21 months between finds. I'm not feeling too confident about silver finds in 2024.
