Thanks , Many hunt wooded areas looking for old home sites and are. Happy finding every kind of old relic imaginable .
I like to hunt for coins . Anywhere there were people years ago will work but I love big old wooded parks in or need town where folks could picnic and spend the day. Party and so fourth . Many forests in parks were not forests 100 years ago . A sled hill or picnic grounds . Even small patches of trees in your gold old hotspot were often overlooked by hunters so get in there.
Targets in the wood are often very shallow as being pushed up yearly by seedlings and roots . Also a bed of leaves decomposing from years of seasons create heat! Think compost pile heat! If you are in a place that the ground feeezes the wood can extend your season tremendously . It's enjoyable hunting .

Some kid in your neighborhood will get a detector for xmas and he will have nothing left to find . How do you sleep at night?

Oh , thanks a bunch Trap 👍 I was happily going about my season picking one or two off here and there .. but then you pretty much called me a Sally last week because I wasn't trying hard to hit 100 for the year ..
I just brushed it off but my subconscious seems to have taken it as a challenge lol.
Here's to another week of soft dirt .

It’s great to see Dad and son enjoying this as much as anyone Brad,you did good on that one. You’ll make 100 no sweat. I heard someone else just hit 100...wonder who THAT could be!
Lots of guys having a lot of success this year finding what they’re after. You gotta be relentless,you gotta be good,you gotta have the right stuff. You and son have the right stuff. Huge PROPS for grinding it out!
 
Awesome scores there...Wisconsin has potential :) I work near Kenosha, so I might take some time out when the sun stays out a bit later (next year) and try to find some parks or hit the beaches near Carthage

I have pulled some dandys this year but these rosys and mercs are for padding the stats. Your the one scoring all the pretty oldies .. I'd love to live a day in your shoes pulling Morgans barber halfs seated sand such . Thanks for the support and for being so naturally curious .. it's great to have a buddy to bounce off theory and ideas .

These hunts were primarily between milw and Green Bay . Most older towns along waterways will produce keepers . No tricks here , getting better with your machine of choice and searching for pockets of wheat penny's first .. then slow way down and work the !!!! out of that dirt . Clear the shallow trash if you hafta . Just below is your treasure . These are heavily hunted public parks .

Thanks for the comments , just get out on that good old dirt you have down there and enjoy the nicer days . Anaizing what even an hour can do to keep my mind soothed .
