I did a search and tried several keywords, but nothing is coming up for me. Please feel free to move this thread if it doesn't belong here.
I've been on the forum for a few years now. Having moved from Wisconsin to Arizona a few months ago, I thought I'd start swinging the detector again since it's finally starting to cool off (midwesterners & east coasters need not comment!)
I know quite a few of you have had some inexpensive business cards made up and I thought I saw a thread on here somewhere about a few of you posting local ads on craigslist. i.e., "Lost something you can't find? Wife looking to kill you because you finally lost your wedding ring? Call me!" (etc, etc, etc.)
I'm wondering if any of you charge a fee for your services if/when someone does finally call / text / e-mail. If so, would you mind sharing what you charge and/or how you structure your fee? Additionally, do you try and incorporate yourself into somehow hunting the entire property while you're there and have located the lost item in question? On one hand, I don't think I should have to spend several hours at a property because they 'think' they may have lost it somewhere in this region... on other hand, it might be a good opportunity to gain trust and/or obtain additional permissions.
Just curious...
