Went out for two very early morning hunts in a neighboring city. I targeted a 6 block section of homes built from the teens to the 40's that I had been eyeing for a while now. Yesterday I went down one direction trying to keep in the parameters of 6 inches of depth and only digging the higher numbers (12-44 on up to 46-47) and those that fell in Wheat areas. I was hoping to skip a lot of penny signals with the hope to dig a few Silvers. My plan for most part worked fairly well. I dug 5 Wheat's and 4 Silver Coins (2 Rosie's, a Merc and a GW) and added just $1.07 in clad. Went back today and went the other side of the block and again found even better success. Actually dug 2 Halves although 1 was a clad Kennedy and got my first Buffalo Nickel in a couple of years. Dug 9 Wheat's and 5 Silvers that includes a Walker, a GW, 2 Merc's and a Rosie. Also added another $2.08 in clad. I know I skipped a lot of good signals but should get another shot at this as the sidewalks and curbs are slated for upgrades next Spring. As always stay safe and thank you for looking. Jack

Congrats on the silver haul, especially the Walker...the Buffalo and the rest of the digs...fine hunting Trapper!
Appreciate your reply Bruce, thank you. The buffalo has been a long time coming but with the way I struggle with Nickels who knows when the next one will arrive.

Curb strips here are a touchy way to hunt Jerry. A lot of people here think they own them. Had my share of run in's. I try to hunt them at just before dawn and usually done before most of the people wake. If the terrace produces I note the address and go back at a later time for permissions.
Totally amazing what lies between the sidewalk and roadway!
It is surprising Matt. But as you know it can be very rewarding.

Thank you Mark for your kind words. Weather here as been very hot so I thought that early morning hunts was my best shot at getting in some good swing time. Jack

Congrats on the pile of silver!
Appreciate your reply N2990, thank you.
Nice strategy and awesome coins, love the walker! Congrats!
Thank you for your comments "Gal". The stratagy was so I would not spend to much time in one spot. It allowed me to cherry pick somewhat with the thought at getting Silver coins.
Nice job there jack, good luck on the return trip!
Thanks Jeff, hoping to return to a few of these homes to seek some permissions next week.
wow nice job Trap!!!
Thank you Mike. This area is only about a half mile North of the school you and I hunted. Now I need to do some door knocking. Trapper

Holy cow? Excellent strategy, you know it is. Around here, and there, this is the "numbers game". You play it,I play it,others play it....it works, clearly. Astounding totals there Trapper, but from you, not unexpected. You've hit the big one this time mister!;)

Where there is the will , there is a way .
Incredible run of luck Trap. 👍
With you I can hardly call it luck .
What a great run !
And look at the big girl 👀
Congradulations is in order 🙂

Excellent finds!! Did you still run into people hunting early? What time is early for you? I have wondered about doing that in some of my areas, but so many dogs would bark, lol.

Hey it was pretty good for this old man, went back again to do the side streets this morning. Not as rewarding but still Dug Silver's.

I look forward to going back to those neighborhoods we looked at last week Brad. Think we could do some damage door knocking, maybe pad our totals to catch up to the monster.
WOW, your killin it, Congratulations.
Thanks Jerry. Sometimes a plan comes together. I did this in another town 3 weeks back and took a skunk on Silver's in two hunts.

Appreciate your reply "Speng". Today I went back to that same area only on the side streets. Only seen 4 people in the 3 hunts. 2 going to work and 2 dog walkers. Started my hunts before dawn about 4:30 and was gone before 7:00. Did have a couple of dogs bark but tried not to stay in a area very long.
Congrats on the silvers! :waytogo:
Thank you X-Terra. Jack

Went back for a third hunt to do the side streets. Tried using the same principals just did not get the same results. Still I can not say all was lost as I did bag 2 Merc's and a couple of Wheat's for my efforts. also added another $2.11 to the clad coffers. Really looking forward to hunting a lot of these yards. Any time your ready Trap . And I know what your saying with IDX Monster setting the pace . Not only in sheer numbers but with all the silver halfs and dollars he is dialed in on we haft dig 5 to ten dimes just to match the weight on those big girls . 🤔
I can see it already ... I'm outta this hourse race .
You Are the big dogs . My bark is tough when I'm on my leash but when it's time to run I'm afraid I would miss my squeaky toys and blanket . If you need me I'll be hiding under the bed 🐶
Love the update .
Hit that rainy park you found the sterling harly zipper pull this morning . Spent an hour or two . Grabbed. Couple dimes :)
