Went out for two very early morning hunts in a neighboring city. I targeted a 6 block section of homes built from the teens to the 40's that I had been eyeing for a while now. Yesterday I went down one direction trying to keep in the parameters of 6 inches of depth and only digging the higher numbers (12-44 on up to 46-47) and those that fell in Wheat areas. I was hoping to skip a lot of penny signals with the hope to dig a few Silvers. My plan for most part worked fairly well. I dug 5 Wheat's and 4 Silver Coins (2 Rosie's, a Merc and a GW) and added just $1.07 in clad. Went back today and went the other side of the block and again found even better success. Actually dug 2 Halves although 1 was a clad Kennedy and got my first Buffalo Nickel in a couple of years. Dug 9 Wheat's and 5 Silvers that includes a Walker, a GW, 2 Merc's and a Rosie. Also added another $2.08 in clad. I know I skipped a lot of good signals but should get another shot at this as the sidewalks and curbs are slated for upgrades next Spring. As always stay safe and thank you for looking. Jack
