Hey everyone, got out for a combined 4 hours between a few different hunts yesterday. Me and BCK got run out of the park by rain and more importantly, the mosquitoes. The Carson city is the only old coin I found at this park, np wheats or anything else even remotely old. The sterling piece came from an old football field. Both spots are new so we will be back to check these out. My 5th seated fty and only my second Carson city. As always thanks for looking and happy hunting out there!

Congrats on the CC! What is/was the Sterling piece? Got a photo of it cleaned up?

Nice, nice finds! That sterling piece looks very Victorian to my eye... Does it have any pin attachment marks on the back? Nice seated!

Both of those finds are Outstanding! I really like that Sterling cherub..You could sell that for over melt easy...Nice Work again CD!

Thanks mud! Might have to throw it on the bay and see what happens  HH!
Two fantastic finds man! I've been wanting to get myself over to CC too, but your method beats driving! Congrats!
Thanks Jeff! I saw it was 1875 and my immediate thoughts were a CC. Seems to be one of the more common years. Happy hunting out there!
Wooowhooo CC!
Right!?!?! Lol appreciate the looks!
Congrats on the CC Seated Dime and the vintage sterling...a pair of fine digs!
Thanks capt!
Dang cellr, nice finds! How the heck do you keep digging CC's over in MA!?

Thanks a lot! Im not sure?!?! I wish I knew, both came from parks. I dont keep very many coins I find, this one will stay with me. Not sure ill ever find a nicer CC. Happy hunting!

That combo would be the highlight of my year .
Carson City ? Amaizing seated! I would have to look it up but any older and I think that thing would have been a flowing hair . .

Incredible 👍
HH , Dew

Thanks dew I appreciate the comment! I just watched that hoover boys episode you were referring to in your post, man oh man that's a great permission! Love how the wife let you off the hook afterwards  Happy hunting bud

Congrats. Ive found a bunch of CC dimes but no key date CC. I think most of them were shipped east as they seem to pop up quite often

Did a little Bing searching and typed in sterling silver cherub and found this... sure looks like yours

Thanks man, this one is special to me, wish I could get on some larger seated coins though. Happy hunting!

Any time you find seated, its special. CC is just icing on the cake. Ive never found any seated larger than half dimes or dimes outside of my seated field and Im sure most have the same problem. I wish I had a public spot to dig a merc or rosie tomorrow
