I didn't have work today since it is my 5 year olds birthday and we've got a lot of plans but I did have the morning to myself.
First off I started by calling a realtor to see if I could detect a few of their properties but no go on them.....people were still living there apparently. So I hit my back-up spot, a lot that used to have an old house on it but was bought by the city after the house was condemned from the flood.
I started off at the curb strip which produced nothing. I moved to the little front yard and dug a 1915-D wheatie! Good start! I swung back over the whole and there was still something there......turned out to be a 1922 George V penny! Sweet!
I kept swinging the front yard getting a couple deep clad quarters and than I came across a shallow wheat penny type signal. I dug a fairly small plug and to my sheer amazement pops out a very old silver lighter case! And thing is amazing!.......other than where I smoked it with my Lesche [emoji26]
I finished the front yard and started doing the back. Sadly there was 3 crackhead dogs next door that would not quit barking and growling at me, which also got all the rest of the dogs in the neighborhood barking, so I left that area alone...... i didn't want to make any enemies in this neighborhood for the future when I do some door knocking.
The front yard did wonders though so I'm happy with that.
I also got a neat old dog tax tag from 1950.
