I've been detecting this house for about 2 months, and have yet to be skunked on an outing. First two pictures are a prohibitory liquor token, as well as a hard time token. Followed by an 1834 & 1810 large cent, with a King William the 3rd copper. Doing some research found the owner of the class ring. The last two finds blew it out of the water... I believe this seal is called an "Intaglio Seal" but I'm having some trouble finding further info, if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it. Finally my goal this year was to find a silver that was pre-seated, and this capped bust dime does the trick!! I'm wondering if I should get this graded, anyone have a opinion?
LOADS of adrenaline unleashed here. haha

Honorable mentions not pictured:
14 flat buttons
1913 Canadian Dime
1953 Rosie
Crotal Bell
Various musket balls

 WOW!!! What a honey hole!! Congrats on some awesome finds, I'd be happy with just one of those! Love the hard times token, I've never seen one like that. What year is the class ring?

dime

Man, that dime is sweet! See if you can find out if it is the 1830, 30 over 29 variety. If so Its worth some good money...my book says upwards of $400.00
You get the "You suck!" award today lol.

I'm jealous

That is a pretty sliver coins you found. 1830 VF-20=$80.00/ VF40=$300.00.
It looks to me like the coin is not worn at all? I would at least call a grading company and get their take on the coin. I would google the coin too, and see what they are selling for. Congrats on finding that coin, she sure is a beauty.
HH everyone

I just threw up on my computer.............again......[/B] two bust silvers this weekend !!!!!!
Now I can't post my stupid mercs.........

Seriously tho.......congrats......very very nice scores there.....thanks for the pix.....................and "hope"............
and it looks like that dime got lost the day it was minted......

Now,........are you gonna indulge us a little bit on the details of the site? Old private home ? 1850s ???? How deep were those old dimes?
I'd like to see the Canadian dime too.....I did just score one of them, and if yours is as nice as the bust that could be worth a bit also........

Me and brother hunt together under the alias " Mayor Mcdigger" for the purpose of this website. One person swings while the other digs. We can recover more objects faster and cover more ground this way. We use the whites M6 with the stock coil. The capped dime was about 7" deep and just barely audible. The VDI was jumping all over the place. I didn't think anything of the target and went on swinging while my brother dug. I heard him make some weird gasp of air and yell silver. I thought maybe a merc or another Rosie. " I don't know what this is" he said. That's when I saw it and couldnt believe my eyes. Seeing the fine details I said " Don't rub the dirt lose, I don't want to scratch it." He proceeded to put the coin in his mouth to suck the remaining dirt off. I was laughing pretty hard at that point. I mean that's one way to get your daily minerals. I feel like the M6 is a great machine when it comes to coinshooting. But with the stock coil I feel as though there are targets I just can't reach or hear. The deeper flat buttons were hitting a VDI of 8. Needless to say there are very few tones left there that aren't iron. I'm looking into a new coil so I can go deeper. Any other M6 users out there that have any suggestions. Thanks guys.

The site is and old farmhouse that I believe to be built pre civil war. The original house is an array of random size stones mortared together. It has had several cinder block add ons and is still in use today. I can only imagine what's under those newer floorboards. The class ring is from 1960. I found the owner through an online website. I contacted him, he now lives in Wisconsin. He recalled the day he lost it mowing lawns as a young man over 50 years ago.

I LOVE the caped bust! (of course). If you get it graded please post it.

You got my vote Mayor! Fantastic site, more good stuff there I'm sure.
