A short day at the beach...

Beach hunting

I have a Prizm III from White's. The fellows in my club say it is okay to get the coil and rod wet, as in a lake, but not the box with the digital info on it. I just want to make sure it IS okay to get the coil in the water, just near the edge of the sandy beach.

BTW, I should have asked: Is it okay to get my coil wet in fresh water, and also salt water?

Sure, but like your friends said don't get the eletronics wet because if you do your detector is shot... I wouldn't take a land machine in saltwater or for that matter fresh either...

Thought this was a new post from the title until I saw the temperature was 32° when you went out. Unless this is the end of summer 2014 "Polar Vortex" at work.

Really I would like to see Craig's very first post..And Earls...

Ahhhh it's fun reading Famous Craig's posts from the early days, when he didn't expect a gold ring every hunt ..

What I'm still waiting for is to see a any find from the other Famous Administrator Judge Rudy .. At this point I think a Wheatie spill shown from him would get me pumped up ;)

Missed you guys :)

Hey Earl show them how it's done $$$

32.... that makes my fingers nummm just thinking about the weather getting colder. Keep it up there. Honestly, ill be glad when it cools off some down here. No more AC and you can stand to set outside. Some nice finds Craig. I used to find a ring every now and then dirt hunting old home sites. I was pretty surprised to find many of the marked ones were really gold plated brass.
