Anyone watch Walking Dead?

Yeah we were disappointed as well, Best part was when Rick went Zombie on that guy!!!

The show's pace is just so slow, I realize they want to drag it out for a few seasons but all the flashbacks, and drama makes it more like a soap opera with an occasional zombie walking by than an end of the world zombie take over. They also need to do something about the commercials, charge more for less commercials, the show had some segments last night that only lasted about 2 minutes or so between commercial breaks, it's ridiculous. On a good note, next Sunday the show "Turn" airs about America's first spy ring during the Revolutionary War, hopefully it's not too bad.

No dang comment..... And those dang continuous commercials. Just to hear Rick stick his stinking head out the side door of that box car to say "They picked the wrong people to mess with":pullhair::pullhair::pullhair::pullhair::mad:

Yeah, weak ending, and Rick hyped everyone up thinking he had some fancy escape plan, or maybe a weapon, only to say "they picked the wrong people to mess with". Really?! I hope next season isn't based on them living in a box car lol I mean they spent one boring season on a farm, another in a prison.... Bring on some action, show more resistance groups, maybe remnants of military units, hell put them in the city for a season. It's obvious from the past few episodes that there are still many survivors around, and I'm sure some military bases, bunkers, or even refugee camp's still holding on.

Dead

I missed the last episode.. anyone know where I can watch it or when there going to re-play it?

I'm hoping they'll stumble upon some scientific types and start working on a cure or at least a little inside look on how walkers work. The "TS-19" episode where the CDC gets blown up at the end was pretty decent. Moving from one place to the next on the road is starting to get a little stale.

Yeah, I wonder if all the CDC locations self destructed. There has to be some government left somewhere, as well as some military holdouts, of course this opinion is basing on real life a scenario and what would probably happen but maybe for the shows sake there is not much of anything left in the way of infrastructure.

We watched on Netflix, have to. Check now and see how many seasons were behind , glad to hear it's still going strong

It's a little slow sometimes, but it's a good show. I wish they would pick up the pace and expand the locations some. They never even leave the state. I did read that a new spin-off of the show based on a 2nd ground will premier sometime next year.

Yeah, based in LA. I read about it recently when they signed a lead actress but Ive already forgotten who.

I agree about the locations, but did you see any of the SyFy show "Z Nation"? I saw one episode and thought they roamed about the country way too easily.

No, I forgot all about that show. The thing is the zombies are slow, why not grab some of the thousands of armored military Humvees laying around and see what's out there, or have some sort of game plan, like try an island or something. I know it's a TV show and doing what most of us would probably do in real life might not be as entertaining but... At least they have some better guns now, Rick was running around with his 6 shot .357 Python while ignoring all the m4's and much better suited guns laying all over the place, yeah he still carries it but he usually carries a rifle too. To me it seems like they just keep circling Georgia, and running into the same old stuff. Hopefully the new show will inform us of what's out there. I think i'd like to see a show based on a large refugee camp that has survived this long, guarded by what's left of the military. Hopefully it's not just another small group roaming endlessly around CA.

How many tanks and Humvees do they go past ??? You would think they would drive them instead they get old trucks and buses. Never search for military weapons, only a few AR 15 or M-16s. If it were me, I'd get as much military armor and weapons as possible and head to a military base somewhere. But I don't know why they never ask me.

lol exactly, in Ricks little town alone there were several armored humvee's, a Huey, and more, even car dealerships are loaded with brand new cars, yet they continue to drive crappy cars that break down all the time. Basically ANY weapon they could possibly want they could have yet half them have revolvers, and bolt action hunting rifles. I could be wrong but a lower caliber, high capacity carbine is the way to go in a situation like this. Remember they had the brand new Challenger SRT8? instead of using it they broke it down and used the parts on their old, slow cars?:?: They've had battles with several other live groups as well, so the tons of body armor laying around would have been beneficial. If anything I think adding these things would make the show more exciting, vs. a bunch of people in crappy cars with deer rifles.

I would be raiding every gun shop and army surplus around and driving anything i want. Also just a thought, the zombies eat bodies and never seem to go to the bathroom. They are dead , no heart beat, but have bright red blood when poked in the noggin.

I just want to know what kind of batteries these cars have that fire off after being abandoned for so long. And the non ethanol gas that's still good after sitting up this long. Lol.

As a firearms guy, I cringe every time they shoot without recoil or the slides racking. Every time they stick their pistol barrel through a chain link fence and fire, I remember my first USPSA match and letting my pistol drift too far and high into a window and it smacking the top with the recoil.

haha exactly, even if the gun shops were raided early on there should be guns filling the streets, after all there is 300+ million guns in America? and maybe a few thousand people left? I understand some of the physical aspects since it is sci-fi and impossible to actually occur, at least in the style the epidemic hit but the gun and vehicle stuff makes no sense. From what I've seen there seems to be a fair number of people left, they are always running into other groups and that's just within a few mile radius of their town. The Zombies in Dawn Of The Dead were insane, and super fast, I can see how that spread quickly, but these zombies basically have to swarm and corner you since they're so slow. I hope they add some big surprises like leftover government installations, military bases still holding out, etc. My cousin told me about a good theory, what if this never happened and Rick is still in a coma at the hospital imagining it all?

haha I hear you, I've been shooting a lot of 9mm recently to save some $$$ on ammo over my .45 and .357, and even the 9mm has noticeable kick to it, obviously not as noticeable as the previous two but still enough that you're not casually walking around, taking off zombie heads at 30 yards like it's a recoiless bb gun. I see Rick walking around with his Python and firing off .357 rounds (or possibly .38 +p) and the gun barrel barely moving.

How long has the time frame been? It's hard to tell if it's been one, two, or even 5 years? Diesel last about 12 months I believe, so all the military vehicles would be worthless unless they found fresh fuel and cleaned the tanks. Also why is it so hard to find supplies? The outbreak happened so fast, and was so deadly that most of the population was dead within 2 weeks? At least I can't imagine Rick surviving 2 weeks in a coma without food and water, so obviously it hit fast and hard. It doesn't appear to be some long, drawn out event that would have used up a lot of resources.
