It actually looks pretty cool. $160 is not a bad price. Never heard of the brand though

Looks like it copies the shaft and body design of a superior Minelab Etrac/Explorer product....at least they did something right....

I'll take the matte orange over the flamboyant purple of the Tesoro Vaquero anyway

Ha Ha. I just looked at one of those at NED. Looks like honeycomb??? (And my wife, who loves her Ace250, says it's orange, NOT yellow:lol:).......

Ground EFX MX200 GPS Digital Metal Detector, never heard of such a beast :laughing::laughing::laughing:. Here is some info on them http://www.amazon.com/Ground-EFX-MX200-Digital-Detector/dp/B007MX0V8O might be some heavy competition for that other yeller thing, especially if it doesn't sound like a door bell .

We have had them for a few months now. PIJOE tested it out as well as a few other guys. In the end the Ol saying goes "you get what you pay for". You can even use a Minelab Battery pack thats how similar it is. The pack it comes with is a dead ringer for Minelabs. To be honest it does have allot of really nice features but it missed its mark particularly in actually working ,. The head tilts it has a super bright back-light, GPS and cam locks. It's way too heavy and the coil attachment looks like a plastic complicated mess. But , if it actually worked and gave true readings it would be desirable. We do offer them but they are for the absolute beginner. I would rate it as a Kids detector someone about the age of 8-10 years of age as the bells and whistles would keep their attention going and interested in the hobby. Heck all the falseing it does will keep the kids busy for hours.
The Compadre will smoke this detector in performance and its priced equally . This is a case where they put money in gadgetry and not an actual working detector that and having it made in China.

The company that is selling them actually makes game camera's for hunting they are out of Texas I believe.

Andrew.... do you think it will give the CTX a run for its money?

I'm thinking yes, the intuitive design and the highly accurate GPS capabilities (Accurate to 1 mile radius) give this detector and edge over the CTX. Believe it or not this machine is water resistant as well. I think they call it the Swarm for a reason. I think flies flock or "SWARM"to it because its a piece of F E C A L matter hence, the name swarm.

Minelab better step up their game with this machine out in the market.

I read a review on it and it gave it 1.5 stars out of 5. Stated its a very basic detector. Personally I would stay away, still have to see one good thing made and designed in china.
Wow that's a higher rating than I thought it would get .

I hope that you's bought a ton of them because I bet they will sell like hotcakes . If I was to buy one from ya would you toss in a free pencil so I could keep track of all my finds .

Yes, of course but we usually provide crayons hope that's OK. Not the skinny crayons the big fat ones we go all out with this machine.
