My call sign is AD7JS, I live in Twin Falls and, among my other hobbies, I work CW on 40 when the urge hits me. Metal detecting is fun and I'm looking to spend more time at it this summer. I work with a guy that lives in a 100 year old farmhouse with barn that let's me hunt his place. My first time out I found a few cents, a 1967 clad quarter and a whole lot of iron and other junk. Not much but it's a start.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that my antenna is pretty low (I have a power line crossing my yard, cutting me off from the maple tree), 40m is pretty much NVIS/short range for me. I think Georgia is about as far as I've reached on 40m, although once, under freaky atmospheric conditions, I ALMOST completed a contact to Utah. I'll listen for you, though.
