Make a post here, where you intend to go, and when. See if someone is interested to tag along. I realize some people like to go alone not to 'divulge' their 'secret' spot, but I don't like detecting in some remote canyon, by myself, with headphones over my hears and my eyes focused on the ground. It's always in the back of my mind that if a bear or cougar decided to sneak up on me, I wouldn't see it coming.
Strapped or not, I get these weird uncomfortable sensations sometimes that someone, or something, is watching me from behind a tree.
Anyways, that is besides the point. It would be nice to head out with someone else to share stories, shoot the hay, and just BS on the long drive to your destination. Plus, more ground is covered.
Like I mentioned in my intro, I live in SW Idaho. I will be nugget detecting Idaho, NE Oregon, N Nevada, and maybe SW Montana this summer. I know nobody who does what I do, so I'm lookin' for the occasional company.
