Took my new 1500 out yesterday. Did pretty good although I could still use a few tips or pointers. Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

Our social group is kinda slim and lacking. What kind of tips are you looking for ? I'll try to remember checking back here tomorrow.

TIP: If you are pinpointing a target and the GTI1500 reads it as off the scale in both size and depth, give that spot a kick with your toe. Usually that is a coin or a pulltab right at or just a hair below the surface.

Amen to that ! I wonder if other detectors have similar outcomes ?
