Great hunt and thanks Sean! My wife and I had a good time, even tho she didn't find much. It was slim pickings but oh what good pickings they were. I found a 1885 IH, so far the oldest coin at the hunt. I found 22 cents of clad and lots of junk. It was nice to meet people and I look forward to getting out with a few more soon. Anytime you guys wanna hunt in Lancaster just give me a shout.

lol.. ok, prediction... "wouldn't it be cool if Silver Strike will hit the lotto (or megamillions) and also cut me in for 10%"....
had to throw that last part in, even Carnac the Magnificent got a percentage..lol
Its all just positive thinking, besides supporting programs that help kids, like Clads for Kids, is always worth it.

Let me echo all the thank you's and add mine as well. In spite of the rain, it was a great day. Like everyone else I would have liked to have found more good stuff, but like fishing with friends, sometimes it's more enjoyable just being with who your fishing with, rather than actually catching fish. I was able to learn a few excellent pointers about my new AT Pro, which I will be taking next Saturday to St. Maartens, I had a number of enjoyable conversations, got to meet other metal detecting fanatics, uhhhh, I mean metal detecting enthusiasts, so how better does it get then that I ask you? My buddy that I brought along with me just started this obssesion, uhhhh, there I go again, I mean hobby, talked all the way home, that God it was just 8 miles, about what a great time he had and can't wait until the next outing

I did have a conversation with a gent about an Ipad application in regards to coins. I can't remember his name or the application, so if you are the gentleman, and reading this post, could you please forward that on to me.

Also, there was a gent with an AT Pro that had a flashlight and a sling like device that he clipped onto his belt. I can duplicate the sling with little or no problem, but I would like to know where you got your clip that held the flashlight on his extension tube, so if you are reading this as well could you please get that to me.

In closing (and just for now) I would like to ask Sean if there was a membership to the Tri-State Hunters Inc and if there were dues, and meetings?

BTW, I came back to say, "Thank you for what you do" to Dan Wentzel and his wife. I meant to say that a dozen times as we talked, but I guess our enthusiam talking metal detecting kept me from it.

Let me just start by saying it was my pleasure to put this all together. Alot of work but it was well worth it. As I said before a huge thank you to Andrew at NED for sponsoring this event. Thanks bud. Also thanks to Rob aka Pahunter for your help too. Thanks to everyone else for showing up. It was good to see people knew they wouldn't melt in the rain. I'm sorry many of you didn't find better coinage. That's the way it is with this spot but when you do find something it can be good. Preparations are already in order for the next one. It was great meeting everyone and I too look forward to the next one. If you want to suggest a place for another group hunt pm me with that info.

can someone tell me a good cheap camera to take close ups of the coins I find. I have dug up some nice stuff that I would like to post. I have a decent camera but it isn't good close up.

If it has a macro feature youre good to go.

hi Fiskamon, the light mount for the AT was actually a mount off a sunray probe. if you call sunray and speak with Ralph just tell them you need a rod mount replacement, also a bicycle flashlight mount similar to this will work http://www.dhgate.com/clip-cycling-3...95beb7ed2.html

Fisk, as of right now we are only a social club. Not an actual MD club. There has been talk about making this into a club. No dues for now...
