Not sure if I can make the hunt. Trying to work something out since I'm suppose to photograph a Classic Car Show on the same day.

Remember everyone, there is a map on one of the links I posted in the beginning of this thread. It is a map of the place circa 1911...

The hunt is 3 days away. The prizes are on the way. Looks to be 30-40 people. Should be a great hunt. Just a couple reminders. Make sure to bring your own food. Also since we have had this extremely warm weather, I am sure ticks will be out. Bring stuff to protect yourself. Also they are calling for possible showers. Bring anything necessary to protect your detector. It will be about 68 degrees so it will be comfortable. Bring some cash with you as there will be some good prizes and a real good prize to raffle off. I think the money raised from the raffles will goto prizes for the next group hunt which is already in the works. I look forward to meeting you all and seeing some familiar faces...

Sadly, unless the forecast changes, I won't be able to make it =(
I'd hate to drive three hours, be rained out and have to drive three hours back.
Hopefully the forecast will change =)

Actually, my E-Trac melts in the rain. The buttons all do different things, ie, pinpoint acts as the X/check button, and so forth. Really weird, so, do the expense, I don't hunt in the rain anymore. Hopefully it won't rain.
See y'all there.

I was told by Andrew at NED as long as the box is protected, there won't be an inssue. I got a rain cover just for that. Im hoping for no rain either though. Again they said possible light showers...

The weather still seems to be the same. All the weather channels are basically saying periods of showers tomorrow. Not an all day rain event. So it might drizzle some. If you dont have a cover for your detector if it is not water proof, a good substitute is surran wrap...For example the only part of the Etrac the really needs to be covered is the speaker area. Water cannot get in there. The screen itself is ok to get wet. But to be on the safe side, just use surran wrap. It will cover everything...Hope to still see you all there...And I will say it now. Andrew at NED was kind enough to supply us with prizes including a brand new detector. Not telling you what kind, but it is a popular one...
